What’s in My Share?
You will receive an ample assortment of in-season produce that has been harvested within the week, if not the same day. Each produce-share delivery will consist of 5 to 10 units (varieties) of produce, approximately the size of a full brown grocery bag. Examples of what we anticipate your Produce Share to look like. Plan on receiving a multitude of the favorite staple vegetables in a generous portion, plus a mix of the exotic and exclusive items, often served in fine restaurants on the cutting edge of cuisine.
Don’t be alarmed if your bag contains a dusting of dirt or a lady bug from the farm. You are receiving the freshest of local produce from our local farms and not the polished, picked green to survive the 1,500 + mile journey, stuff you often see in the big name Grocery Stores.
The varieties of items received in your produce share will vary with the season and the crops our farmers choose to grow. And although we cannot control inclement weather, over zealous bugs or Mother Nature, we have a farmer base consisting of 100 + farmers, which can provide you with a continual rotation of produce varieties from month-to-month.
Meat Shares consist of seasonal options to include, Beef, Chicken, and Pork; specialty shares include Lamb, Rabbit, and Mountain Trout. Examples of what may be contained in your Meat Share includes:
